Our group founder and leader is Prof. Dr. Omer Tahir Gunkara and our group members, we have been conducting important studies in the field of organic chemistry for more than two years. Many of our studies; drug active substance synthesis, new drug design, and synthesis that may show anticancer activity, antidepressant drugs and their synthesis, maleimide derivative GSK-3B inhibitors, Tandospirone analogue 5HT1A inhibitors, studies on new synthesis routes for heterocyclic compounds, Deuturium derivative labeled drug syntheses, for analytical analysis methods development of new drug derivatives, extraction technologies, isolation of important bioactive compounds from natural sources.​We also carry out numerous TUBITAK 2209A and TUBITAK 2209B projects with many of our group members.
